ANALYSIS OF PROBLEMS OF STUDENT TEACHERS DURING TEACHING PRACTICE IN NIGERIA

Abstract  The study conducted made an investigation into the analysis of problems of student teachers during teaching practice in Nigeria. The population of the study consisted of 5 secondary schools in Uyo local government. The study adopted survey design, while random sampling technique was used in selecting three hundred and two (302) respondents. The structured questionnaire was used to elicit information from the respondents. Data collected were analyzed using Pearson analysis. It was concluded that, teaching methods enhances academic performance of secondary school students in Uyo local government the study. It was also recommended that, the use of instructional materials can improve students’ academic performances and facilities in cognitive and effective
